My Mum makes all sorts of lovely stationery. It all started when she was given a home made card from a sister in law. She decided that she wanted to have a go at making one just like it because she likes it so much. She made a few and then did all of her Christmas cards and Christmas party invitations that way. Then she started doing all the birthday cards that way as well and has been doing it for years now. She starts doing the Christmas cards in September and tends to be about three months ahead with birthday cards. It is a great hobby for her during her retirement and she is very good at it. I am not sure that it saves her any money as she pays out a lot for her equipment but it is a great way to give a really lovely personal card as she carefully matches the design of each to the recipient. Everyone really appreciates the efforts that she goes to and looks forward to receiving their card and seeing what design she has put on it for them.
